Loeries stick like Gloo

Gloo digital design company was the leading digital winner at this year's Loerie Awards coming away with a Gold, a Silver and three Bronzes. The accolades were achieved across a broad range of disciplines namely, design, interactive, CD Rom, online software development and heavy media.

Their Loerie cache positions Gloo in the top 10 agencies in South Africa, coming in 9th position with 425 points.

"What makes Gloo's achievement all the more remarkable," according to Net#work BBDO creative chief, Mike Schalit, "is that we've only just launched them. But I guess great work will always be the differentiator. They may be small by any standards, but they're fresh and obscenely talented so no little wonder they garnered an unprecedented number of awards in a pageant dominated by the big agencies."

Gloo Creative Director & MD Pete Case says: "We're pretty chuffed and totally floored. Our team only entered nine pieces of work, achieved seven finalists and won five awards. As Gloo has an unusual design offering - we offer expertise across a wide spectrum of platforms - so the diversity of the categories that we won is all the more gratifying."
