The Castle Cape Town Tens

This year will celebrate the 5th anniversary of the Castle Cape Town Tens and it promises to be bigger and better than any previous year. For those of you who don't know, the Castle Cape Town Tens is the world's biggest Tens tournament - and who wouldn't want to be part of that?
The Castle Cape Town Tens

This year's tournament will be held at Hamilton's Rugby Club on 1 and 2 February and it is set to be a highlight of the social and sporting calendar. So whether you are there for the rugby, the fun, or a combination of both, you are bound to have a ball (pun intended).

But I'm not a fan of rugby, you may say. I have children, might be another excuse - but that isn't a problem at all. There will be an awesome line-up of live bands including: aKing, Good Luck, Albert Frost, DJ Sox, Lonesome Dave, SA/DC as well as Me & Mr Brown to entertain you throughout the tournament. There will also be a children's area where you can drop the kiddies off and go have an hour or two to enjoy some adult time in the beer garden or Red Heart Rum experience Zone.

We're mainly here for the beer

However, for those who are there for the rugby there will be an impressive 90 teams playing over five divisions, including the "We're mainly here for the beer" division. There will also be some local and international legends out and about over the course of the weekend, with the likes of Bob Skinstad and Rob Fleck taking part in the Veterans division.

Stor-Age is also involved this year, with its "Kick for the poles" competition - you stand the chance to win a Golf GTI worth R385 000. If that isn't reason enough to go, I don't know what is. I'm a girl who barely knows what the rugby poles are and I'm considering giving it a shot!

So for a weekend of music, friends, fun and, of course, rugby, join us on the 1 and 2 February. Adult's tickets are R70, students only pay R50 and children under 12 years old are allowed in free (accompanied by an adult, of course). You can purchase tickets at the gates or at www.webtickets.co.za.
