The Western Cape Community Chest celebrated their silver anniversary Twilight Team Run in Cape Town yesterday, 4 December 2007 and from the turn out it can be taken for granted that it was a huge success. Young and old from all walks of life were present; from bunny rabbits to Superman to even a team of scrubs, companies sent their employees out in all their glory to represent but most of all to support a good cause that's been around since 1982. The race was 4.5km long and kicked off at 19:00 from The Grand Parade with the masses running, jogging, walking and crawling through the Mother City aiming for the finish-line and the infamous after party hosted by Good Hope FM. It brought Cape Town's CBD to life with spectators hanging out doors and windows showing their support for the participants. Whether you came in first or last, it was an all-round fantastic, well-organised event that will hopefully continue for years to come.
