Get wanted! The hottest collaboration this summer: HHP and Stimorol

SAMA Award-winning superstar Hip Hop Pantsula (HHP) has teamed up with Stimorol for the launch of their new three-piece range. The launch will be supported by a ground-breaking competition which will see winners from across the country play a variety of roles in the new music video for his soon-to-be-released track “All I Need”.
The Stimorol “Get Wanted” campaign will see a nationwide campus blitz search take place for the video's Leading Lady, back-up Dancers, a Wardrobe Stylist, a ‘Wild Card” and an HHP Lookalike. The search will take place in Durban, Cape Town and Johannesburg, with the call to entry starting 30 September. Auditions take place at the beginning of November, and the finale takes place in Johannesburg on 29 November at the Victory Theatre.

The collaboration between Stimorol and HHP not only offers young talented individuals the opportunity to work with a star, but also officially launches the new Stimorol three-piece range. SA's top-selling chewing gum brand is now more accessible and affordable than ever before, available in three fresh flavours: Wild Cherry, Air Rush and Musk

Alistair Mokoena, Cadbury Marketing Director: Candy & Gum says that the campaign aims to give talented youngsters the chance to shine. “Through this campaign, Stimorol are giving talented individuals the opportunity to 'chew life' by performing with HHP, one of SA's greatest stars,” he says. “Stimorol is not only at the forefront of product innovation but aims to provide the coolest brand experience by bringing the 'chew life' philosophy to life.”

Here's how it all works:

There are two phases for wannabe Leading Ladies, Dancers and Wardrobe Stylists.

For the Leading Ladies - in Phase 1, they will be judged solely on the answers they supply on their entry forms and their photographs. The top five from each region will be put through and return at a later date for Phase 2 where they will be interviewed by HHP and take on some role playing. One candidate from each region will go through to the finale.

Similarly Phase 1 sees candidate Dancers audition in their region on a designated Saturday, where they will be expected to learn and execute choreography which they will be taught by a professional choreographer on the day. Those that make it through to Phase 2 will get to perform for HHP himself! The top three dancers from each region will be put through to the Finale.

Wannabe Wardrobe Stylists will be judged in Phase 1 on a “Mood Board” which they will submit with their entry forms, detailing their vision for HHP's styling for the video. Just five finalists will go through to Phase 2, where they will visit a shopping mall with a crew member, armed with R1500 in cash. Keeping within budget - and a strict time limit they must put together their dream HHP outfit for the video. He will then choose the three best stylists from across the country to join him at the finale.

The HHP Lookalike competition requires contestants to send in photographs of themselves dressed as HHP. The best ones will be invited to regional auditions at which they will be expected to lip synch and dance to an HHP track - dressed as the man himself, of course! The finalists from each region will be invited to attend the Finale, where HHP will decide which one will join him on set at the video shoot. This category is only open to contestants based in JHB.

The “Wild Card” category is for HHP fans without dancing skills or “Leading Lady” potential who would love to spend the day on the set of a music video shoot as an assistant to HHP himself! They need only fill in the entry form - with the best one being invited to the Finale on 29 November, before joining the video crew on set. This category is also open to JHB-based contestants only.

All auditionees will stand a chance to work with HHP and his crew. The auditions will be filmed and aired as a three-minute insert on SABC 1 on Friday evenings during Prime Time.

The launch will also be supported through in-store branding and a TV commercial featuring HHP which will air later this year.

Following the grand finale in Johannesburg on 29 November, the various winners will star in HHP's music video which will be filmed mid-December and launched at the end of the year.
