Cadbury releases the joy inside this winter

Following hot on the heels of the successful launch of the new Cadbury Dairy Milk advertising campaign, featuring the hugely-popular drumming gorilla, Cadbury South Africa has launched its annual Winter on-pack promotion.
The promotion, which forms part and parcel of a full 360 degree campaign to help entrench the new payoff line of “A glass and a half full of joy”, will continue to spread the Cadbury joy well into the winter months by giving away a whopping R650 000 in cash and prizes.

There are 18 weekly cash prizes ranging from R10 000 up for grabs. The main cash prize is an incredible R280 000 which guarantees to fill one lucky Cadbury fan with enough joy to last well beyond the cold and frosty season!

The promotion runs from May through to September on selected Cadbury Dairy Milk slabs: Top Deck, Whole Nut, Fruit & Nut and Mint Crisp slabs. Consumers are invited to ‘release the joy inside' by simply unwrapping their Cadbury Dairy Milk slab and SMSing the unique number on the inside of the wrapper. If this number matches the beat of the Cadbury Gorilla, they stand to win a share of R650 000 in cash and prizes.

“This promotion is huge. It offers consumers the opportunity to win big and really feel the joy this winter!” says Mike Middleton, Cadbury South Africa Chocolate Marketing Director.

The promotion will be supported on television, radio and the internet, as well as via striking in-store displays.

“The Gorilla commercial has hit all the right notes with South African consumers, and we have no doubt that this promotion will continue to spread the sheer joy of Cadbury Dairy Milk this winter,” concludes Cadbury South Africa Group Marketing Director Geoff Whyte.
