Oasys constructs temporary facility for Cape Town International Airport

Oasys Innovations has acquired an order to supply and install the infrastructure for the airport's temporary domestic departures hall, while the existing building is being refurbished.

Kevin Kennedy, Oasys Cape Town Chief Operations Officer: “Having built infrastructure for large events such as the Nedbank Golf Challenge at Sun City, the A1 Grand Prix in Durban and the ANC Congress in Polekwane, Oasys has the capacity and the experience to complete projects of any magnitude. The seamless flow of business and tourism travelers leaving and arriving at Cape Town airport is in national interest. This will be a turnkey project, including two hi-tech marquees, each measuring 1000 and 360 square meters, flooring, carpets, air conditioning, the electrical works as well as counters and ablution facilities.”

Kennedy says that his company has invested in marquees covering a floor space of more than 100,000 square meters, with the result that removing the marquees from its marketing portfolio for one year would have no impact on potential business.
