The Pfizer stand at SA Heart Congress at the Super Bowl, Sun City.
Carl Woodland, chief operating officer for Oasys Exhibitions, says it was an honour to be involved with this Congress. “Our involvement with SA Heart Congress opened many business opportunities for us because we were named one of the preferred shell scheme suppliers.”
The event featured a full programme including workshops on topics such as valvular disease and adult congenital heart disease. The line-up for this year also included special lectures honouring the ‘giants in cardiology. Furthermore a symposium was held tackling the subject of managing cardiovascular disease. Various social functions enhanced the three-day gathering, including a cocktail function and a gala dinner as well as a special dinner for all the invited speakers.
Continues Woodland: “We mostly built design stands for the show, including the impressive Pfizer stand which comprised of full custom elements such as a glass front floor with a backlit heartbeat print and a laser-cut heart indicating high density, low density levels. (HDL/LDL).”
Professor Karen Silwa, Chairperson HeFFSA & Congress Committee, says that the Congress was well attended and successful. “At least 1 300 delegates from across the globe attended the four-day conference which included 94 exhibition stands. All the workshops and presentations were very informative and the social functions were enjoyed by all. We are looking forward to start planning next year's Congress.
