    Forbes Travel Guide to open new office in Cape Town

    Forbes Travel Guide, the global rating system for luxury hotels, restaurants and spas, will be opening its new office in Cape Town, South Africa. Federated Hospitality Association of South Africa (Fedhasa) chair, Jeff Rosenberg will head up the office as vice president, partner services in Africa.

    Prior to joining Forbes Travel Guide, Rosenberg spent three decades as a general manager for numerous properties throughout southern Africa, including The Lost City at Sun City; Sabi River Sun Resort in Hazyview, Mpumalanga; and most recently, Southern Sun Waterfront in Cape Town. He also has managed sprawling golf and entertainment resorts, timeshare properties and casino hotels in the area.

    "We are excited to expand further into Africa’s rich and varied hospitality market," said Filip Boyen, Forbes Travel Guide’s CEO. "Forbes Travel Guide has been verifying luxury for more than 60 years, and we look forward to sharing the finest properties in the region with consumers."

    Forbes Travel Guide will unveil its debut ratings in Cape Town and Johannesburg in February 2020.
