    H-Factor reappointed to Loerie Awards

Event agency, H-Factor has once again been appointed to produce the awards ceremonies for the brand communication industry's premier annual gathering, The Loerie Awards. The two awards ceremonies will again be staged on the sports grounds of Margate Primary School.

H-Factor has appointed Leg Studios to design the set and stage and Juju to produce the AVs and motion graphics for both ceremonies.

H-Factor has been tasked by The Loerie Awards company with the end to end production of the awards ceremonies, which includes creating the venue from scratch on the sports grounds, furnishing it, lighting it, styling it; creating the stage; providing the entertainment, AVs, motion graphics, MCs.

Andrew Human, The Loerie Awards MD, comments: “We have put a lot of thought and effort into improving the awards, and creating an environment that focuses on the awards and is an inspiration to everyone present. It is no easy task to turn ideas into a reality, especially in a temporary structure housing 2000 people. H-Factor and their partners have done a fantastic job and we believe that we have an excellent team in place who will use their experience from last year to make 2007 even better.”

Says Fourie: “After last year's weather literally rained on the entire parade, turned the grounds into a virtual swamp, and challenged the ability of even bricks and mortar structures to remain leak-free, The Loerie Awards committee elected to shift the Loeries Festival Weekend to July, when the weather is more predictable and rain is highly unlikely. We are really pleased with this decision and the team is unanimous in its belief that with a stable weather platform, there are precious few challenges we can't surmount with ease.”

In preparation for The Loerie Awards Festival Weekend, which takes place on Saturday 28 and Sunday 29 July, the H-Factor crew will move to Margate on Friday, 13 July 2007 and start work on the field the same day. The crew will depart Margate on Sunday, 5 August.

The awards ceremonies taking place on the Saturday and Sunday evenings are sponsored by Media 24 and SABC, respectively.

Call for entries opened on the 15th of March and entry details can be found at www.theloerieawards.co.za. The Loeries rewards creativity across every area of brand communication including television, radio and print advertising, design, architecture, direct marketing, promotions, public relations, non-broadcast video, live events, and digital media.
