Qwench "the area's first drinks company" was launched at its factory on the corner of Gail and Stanford roads in Gelvandale, Port Elizabeth.
A two-litre bottle of the fizzy drink comes in five flavours: coco-pine, cream soda, lemon, orange and cola.
Only 12 people, including the owners, are needed to manufacture the drink.
Human said their vision was to make an affordable and quality fizzy drink for the public.
The firm had obtained R936,000 from the Small Enterprise Finance Agency to set up the operation, he said.
An additional R40,000 from the Small Enterprise Development Agency (Seda) was used to market the product.
After working at SA Breweries for 25 years, Human decided to set his sights on a new venture.
"The idea came about in 2013. Everything is made here, besides the flavours, which we order from Johannesburg.
"Our advantage is that we are based right here in our target market," he said.
Human declined to name the price of the beverage, saying only that shops were allowed to determine their own price.
