Well, YouTube on Tuesday expanded its Super Chats donations feature to 19 more countries, including South Africa.

This means that South Africans can now donate money to a YouTuber’s live stream to have their comments highlighted for everyone to see.

During a live stream, viewers are prompted to purchase Super Chats of different values. The more you pay, the longer your messages are seen.

“Your Super Chat stays pinned in the ticker for a set period of time, depending on the amount selected,” YouTube explained on its help blog.

According to a report by Android Police, the additional countries to receive Super Chats include Romania, Costa Rica, Bolivia and Uruguay.
