Sunday soul music with Algoa FM's KayCee Rossouw

"Soul" has been added to spice up laid back Sunday afternoons in the Eastern Cape and Garden Route as Algoa FM's popular homegrown DJ, KayCee Rossouw, spins the songs that count. KayCee is playing listener favourites ranging from R&B greats like Barry White, Peabo Bryson, Lionel Richie, Whitney Houston and The Manhattans, to elements of African-American gospel, soul and jazz.

"Judging by the overwhelming and most positive response we have had from our listeners, KayCee's new show is the perfect soundtrack to Sunday afternoons. Together with the Algoa FM Top 30 and the Sounds of Time, this programme dedicated to soul fulfilling music brings to three the number of specialist shows we offer to our audience. The songs we are playing on Sunday afternoons have a strong resonance with the audience in our broadcast footprint, particularly in the Eastern Cape." says Alfie Jay, Algoa FM's Operations Director.

For Port Elizabeth-born presenter and club DJ KayCee, who loves interacting with listeners, it is a dream come true to present the first show of this calibre on Algoa FM. He opens the telephone lines for listeners to call in and dedicate special messages to loved ones. As a club DJ, KayCee has mixed alongside some of the best in the business. "My show features a mix of contemporary hits and old-school chart-toppers, blended with a special homely Algoa Country vibe. I am truly so excited about this show because it's a celebration of love. I'd like to invite everyone, all friends to join me on Algoa FM every Sunday between 3pm and 7pm," says KayCee.
