Klein Zalze wins Chenin award

It won the award for Best Chenin Blanc Overall for its Vineyard Selection 2008 (R50 a bottle ex-cellar), whilst the Cellar Selection Bush Vines 2009 (R31) took the award for Best Value Chenin Blanc. The tasting panel also awarded 5-stars to the Vineyard Selection Chenin.

"This award caps an amazing run of success we have had over the last 10 years with our Chenins," said Kobus Basson, MD and co-owner of Kleine Zalze. "The current and previous vintages of both of these wines have won international awards, such as the 2009 IWC Chenin Trophy, the 2007 IWSC Chenin Trophy and the South African and International White Wine Trophies at the 2005 Decanter Awards for our Bush Vine Chenin Blanc."

The wines have received multiple gold, double gold and other local awards and trophies in recent years. Both wines are available from the cellar.
