Cape Town to host 21st Africa Oil Week

The 21st Africa Oil Week will be held in Cape Town from 3-7 November with the focus on leading corporate players in Africa, Africa's opportunities, new frontier openings, and Africa's exploration potential.

More than 1,600 senior-level delegates are expected, with 100 high-level presentations. Government delegations will be present with over 140 corporate and state speakers and over 160 exhibition booths, displaying a wide range of growing service and supply industry operators.

Confirmed speakers include Cosmas Pitia Kujjo, director general of petroleum of South Sudan; Immanuel Mulunga, petroleum commissioner of Namibia; Guy Maurice, senior vice president for Africa at Total Exploration; Edward Fast, minister of international trade of Canada; Gabriel Nguema Lima, minister of mines, industry & energy of Equatorial Guinea; Serge-Marie-Ndeko, director general, ministry of hydrocarbons of Congo; Ahmed Salem Ould Tekrour, director general of petroleum of Mauritania; and Ketsela Tadesse, director of petroleum, licensing and administration of Ethiopia

The 16th Annual Scramble for Africa: Strategy Briefing 2014 will track changing competitor maps in Africa for oil and gas-LNG companies. Key focus lies on 'Minnows born in Africa', worldwide independents, super independents and super-majors, and foreign African national oil companies.
