Desmond O'Connor named GM at The Oyster Box

Desmond O'Connor is The Oyster Box Hotel's newly-appointed general manager. He started his career in the hospitality industry in 1990 at the Sandton Sun as a banqueting waitron and later head bartender, before joining the Karos Hotel Group as an assistant restaurant manager at the Karos Wilderness Hotel.

He was most recently GM of the Radisson Blu Hotel & Residence in Cape Town, which he helped open in 2017.
