Amelia Adams
During my time in Direct Selling, specifically Tupperware SA, together with the Managing Director, Tupperware SA transitioned from a 15 000 conservative white Sales Force to a Sales Force of over 200 000 representing the New South Africa, with compound Sales growth of far over 100%, with Tupperware SA being in the Top 5 countries WW in both Sales and Profit.
I have since worked with other direct selling companies in Marketing Strategy, Training and Change management locally and abroad.
Show profile Hide profileDuring my time in Direct Selling, specifically Tupperware Southern Africa, together with the Managing Director, we transformed Tupperware Southern Africa from a 15 000 conservative white Sales Force to a Sales Force of over 200 000 representing the New South Africa, with compound Sales growth in 10 years of far over 100%, with Tupperware Southern Africa becoming one of the Top 5 countries World Wide in both Sales and Profit generation for the organisation.
Part of this growth incorporated the expansion into Outside Markets
such as Namibia, Mauritius, Botswana, Zimbabwe and Zambia,
Mozambique, Swaziland and recently Angola.
Due to the success we achieved, I was asked to spend time at our sister
company Avroy Shlain from 2008 - 2009 assisting them with the
transition into the Tupperware Culture.
From there I spent 6 months in Tupperware Russia's Marketing
Department to train the staff, set up a Handover and training manual to
be used when new staff join the company.
After returning from Russia, I spent time working with Richard Clark at
Table Charm (Direct Selling) from March 2010 - May 2010 focussing on
their Marketing Strategies as well as Change Management,
Compensation plans, training within their organisation.
Having completed this, I believed that it was time for me to "give back"
to the community that I had been working with for so long, and joined
"The Tomorrow Trust" as their Communications and Sponsorship
Manager.
The time spent at Avroy Shlain, Tupperware CIS (Russia), Table Charm
and Tomorrow Trust was of great personal value and growth for me,
setting me up both personally and professionally for my return to
Tupperware Southern Africa as Marketing Director with the knowledge
gained.
During the past almost 3 years back at Tupperware Southern Africa, we
experienced new challenges to deal with such as Counterfeit products.
Learnings:
- Importance of Brand Awareness and training with not only Sales Force but consumers
- 360 degree Brand actions
- Legalities around the prevention and fighting of counterfeit actions
I pride myself in my ability to build strong relationships with both
internal and external partners and suppliers, and with these
relationships are able to successfully plan and implement Marketing
strategies which are in line with the company's goal.
