• Resolve differences between the delivery notes, invoices and purchase orders with the buyers where applicable.
• Follow up on goods receipted but no invoices received
• Obtaining quotations
• Preparing purchase requisition, purchase orders and supplier invoice
• Ensure that amounts due are valid and that goods / services were supplied.
• Prepare monthly creditors reconciliation.
• Ensuring that all documents are authorised before they are processed.
• Preparation of creditors and statutory payment schedules
• Handling petty cash
• Ensure that all journals are checked, processed and approved timorously
• Debtors and creditors control
• Allocating payments and receipts on cashbook
• Assisting with budget preparations
• Asset Management
• Managing suspense account
• Managing the company funds( transferring funds to South African Reserve Bank as well as withdrawing from Reserve Bank)
• Prepare bank reconciliation on a daily basis
• Ensure dishonored cheques and other bank statement debits are valid, accurate and appropriately accounted for in the accounting records.
• Ensure that all used documents are accurately and completely accounted for in the accounting records
• Assist with financial information and reporting management
• Assist with preparation of annual financial statements
• Prepare books for auditing purpose and deal with matters related to audits
