Dave started a rock band in his teens in the late 90s which grew and developed and in 2005 was renamed Lonehill Estate. Dave recorded mixed and mastered 5 Lonehill Number 1 singles. Lonehill were Sama Nominated and Wawela nominated. With Lonehill Dave also performed at some of the most famous venues and festivals in the world including The Astoria in London, The Viper Room in Hollywood and The Montreux Jazz Festival in Switzerland.
Dave craved quite early the meat and the science of Classical Music and Jazz Theory which he studied between 2000 and 2006 with classical guitarist Jimmy Gillmer. It was then that he began recording his works at home and started pursuing a career in commercial music composition. In 2010 he recorded the fore mentioned third album of Lonehill Estate, their most popular self titled album which achieved five number one hits in South Africa and airplay in the U.S. and Europe.
In 2011 he began work at Freq'ncy Music Johannesburg where he composed music for commercials broadcast not just locally but across the world, his music is now heard on commercials in Taiwan, Thailand, Romania, and throughout the African continent.
Dave though, does not rest on these achievements, he is still hungry and driven to produce the next hit or the most complimentary score for any commercial or film. He now runs his own composition studio in Cape Town.
