As ISO Administrator I have gained a lot of experience in managing the quality management system. When I first started the site had not yet fully grasped the concept/idea of using ISO 9001:2008, or understanding how it would make the day to day operations better. There had been 5 individuals in the position before me in a period of less than 2 years and none had been able to implement the system and administer it well enough in order for it to be audited.
I came in not knowing what ISO was and what it meant for the business; but once I started I worked hard and got the system functional and audit-worthy; in less than 5 months the site had its 1st Internal Audit, followed the 2nd Internal Audit which i prepared for and then a Management Review which i had to get the whole team to prepare for and provide be a part of. By the end of October we had obtained ISO Certification.
My goal was to acquire certification by the end of the year, but I managed to get it done before the end of October; that for me was a great accomplishment. I work hard to obtain satisfactory results and I believe with the right tools I can excel in any environment.
