Show profile Hide profileI am a qualified Business Analyst with 3-5 years' experience obtained from Toll Global Forwarding from 2010 to 2013, and Microsoft Dynamics from 2013 to 2014.
My current role entails initiating, executing and delivering quality software to my clients; meeting client requirements by providing a clear understanding of their business, and requirement functional documentation.
During my time at Toll Global Forwarding I had the privilege of working on the firms' biggest project, i.e. Cargowise EDI Enterprise, under the leadership and guidance of Global IT Director (Peter Paizes) & Australian Cargowise Business Analyst (Cushla Edmiston). I have also worked on putting together Warehouse Management Systems for great global organizations such as Electronic Arts, Megarom, Telecom Distributions & Shantui. I have also assisted in research of initiating an intranet for Toll Global Forwarding South Africa and introduced SharePoint to the organization: An opportunity to strengthen and build relationships and workflow.
I was previously employed by Microsoft Dynamics (Just Dynamics) as a Software Developer to add value with my logistic, freight forwarding (Supply Chain Management) experience, looking after their manufacturing customers by being part of the manufacturing software development team consisting of four developers & four consultants. Our main focus was to ensure that software is developed in accordance with the Requirement Functional Documentation. I was involved in a number of projects such as WOODLANDS DAIRY; BOXMORE & VILLA CROP; these were upgrades in which these customers were upgrading from MS Dynamics NAV 2007 to NAV 2013.
One may ask "Why move from a Business Analyst position to a Software Developer position?", and the clear answer to that is "What is a Business Analyst without professional development experience?" The move was made to strengthen my business analysis skills, to have a clear understanding of not only what the customer/client needs, but also how the development process will be done successfully and being able to test & debug applications without the presence of developers.
