Duties
• Conduct survey on day-to-day maintenance according to the request from the client department.
• Compile scope of works, technical report and prepare cost estimates.
• Site handover to the contractor as well as to the client when the contractor is finished.
• Conduct regular site inspections, prepare payment certificates and procurement documentation,
• Ensure building work and drawings comply with the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
• Ensure effective and efficient management of the Building Management functions.
• Verify and certify invoices from the contractors.
• Compile monthly status reports
• Decision making member in the Bid Evaluation Committee.

DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORT AND PUBLIC WORKS (CERES)

Technician
Duties
• Adhere to building standards to ensure health and safety requirement.
• Provide quality survey advice and technical support in the evaluation of costs.
• Ensure the adoption of technical and quality strategies.
• Provide solutions on non-compliance on quantity determination.
• Review the cost determination of projects and estimates accomplished by building designers.
• Ensure adherence to the requirement of professional registration.
• Contribute to the cost determinations of projects and estimates accomplished by building designers and/or sub-professional personnel.
• Provide assistance with tender (bid) administration, liaise and interact with service providers.
• Contribute to the human resources and related activities.
• Maintain the record management system and the quality survey library.
• Utilize resource allocated effectively.
• Road Inspection, road maintenance, installation of road signs, data capture, and supervising the workers.
