Nairobi - Under the partnership, BAAM, a subsidiary of global financial services firm, British-American Group (BAG), will structure and manage dedicated offshore portfolios which invests in Franklin Templeton Investments worldwide, and facilitate the participation of its clients investing offshore in the entire range of Franklin Templeton investment funds.
BAAM's executive director, Dominic Kiarie, said the partnership would further expose BAAM's clients and potential investors to growing economies worldwide.
“With this move, the company has taken another step towards offering holistic financial solutions that address the growing financial needs of our customers. This partnership will open up further opportunities to provide our vast client base with a wider choice of products to meet their diverse financial requirements,” said Kiarie during the signing ceremony.
Franklin Templeton Investments, a global investment management organization, has over US$500 billion in assets under management. The company's underlying objective is to achieve superior long-term investment performance. The company has a range of investments funds covering various global regions and asset classes including: US equity, European equity, Asian equity, emerging markets equity, cash, balanced, fixed income and global equity funds, amongst others.
Kiarie predicted an aggressive growth in new investment products with offshore investments playing a major role as a new frontier for savings and wealth creation.
BAAM last month became the first fund management company in Africa to implement the state of the art Advent Portfolio Exchange (APX), portfolio management enterprise solution.
