From 10 October - 8 December 2008, all Orange Mobile to Orange Mobile voice calls will cost Ksh1 per minute. Calls to and between Orange Fixed Plus or Telkom Fixed lines will be Ksh7 per minute. Calls to non-Orange Mobile services will cost Ksh14 per minute. All SMSs across all networks within Kenya will also cost Ksh1.
The Family and Friends service which allows Kenyans to call five Orange or Telkom numbers at Ksh3,5 per minute will remain unchanged except where those numbers are Orange Mobile numbers, in which case they will automatically be charged Ksh1 per minute.
There are no set up call charges, prefix codes or tariff changes involved; the offer will be automatically available to all Orange Mobile customers and no limitations in terms of time or usage will be enforced.
Telkom Kenya also invites Orange Mobile customers to call 100 for free and to give the customer care team feedback on how the network can be further enhanced. Customers can also call to give their feedback for free on the same number from Telkom Fixed or Orange Fixed Plus lines.
