BizTech Africa: Eye test app piloted in Kenya... The report states that the portable eye examination kit, Peek, created by scientists at the University of St Andrews, the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine and NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde, could be a "potential tool to revolutionise the prevention of blindness in low-income countries." Peek can be used by any non-expert with minimal training to gather detailed clinical information on a low-cost Android smartphone with a simple clip-on attachment.
