Designer kids section opening at 2nd Take

2nd Take, which launched four years ago as a supplier of second-hand designer wear, will launch its kids' division in May 2014, prompted by the high demand for second-hand baby equipment and clothes.

It has a store in Seapoint, Philippi and online, all stocking top quality, second-hand international designer clothes from Armani to Zara, for women and men.

"Many of our customers have children and often request second-hand goods for kids, ranging from clothing to baby equipment, such as car seats, prams, toys and books. It only made sense to ask our over 800 suppliers to also start bringing in their kids items, which might just be cluttering up their homes. We hope our Kids Division will be as successful as our clothing operation," says Bettina Berlep, owner and founder of 2nd Take.

Daniel Vollgraaff, marketing manager at 2nd Take says, "Our existing suppliers are very happy about the launch of our Kids Division, as they know us and enjoy the ease of working with us. Now we also take their quality kids equipment and toys. Our customers will not be disappointed in the quality selection we will be offering."

This company is about creating win-win situations for everyone involved.

  • Clothing suppliers get cash back for a previous expense
  • Customers can buy top designer brands for a fraction of the retail price
  • Through recycling of the clothes and products, the human footprint is reduced
  • It creates learning opportunities and internships for young people
  • It also supports various charities
