Loeries scholarship for study in brand communication now open

The Loeries Creative Future Scholarship has just opened for applications. The scholarship provides an opportunity for an aspiring Grade 12 learner, with financial need, to study a three-year degree in brand communication in Johannesburg.

Scholarship applications close on Friday, 19 October.

“The creative economy has great potential to offer employment to our youth,” says Andrew Human, Loeries CEO. “And we have the potential as a nation to offer world-class creative services both local and internationally. To continue to maintain the level of skills required it’s important that we continue to attract and educate talented young minds.”

The Loeries Creative Future Scholarship was launched 10 years ago in 2008 to encourage and enable creativity at grassroots levels, by assisting learners from disadvantaged backgrounds to study brand communication at a tertiary institution. The scholarship is now the creative industry's richest bursary, covering everything a learner requires, including fees, study materials, accommodation and living expenses as well as mentorship, internship and employment in the advertising and brand communication industry.

“Our aim is to assist talented leaners who would otherwise not have the financial means to realise their dreams – this is truly a life-changing scholarship,” says Human.

More information about the Loeries Creative Future Scholarship, and how to apply, is available on loeries.com.
