NBCUniversal to launch new streaming service next year

According to a report by Daily Maverick, NBCUniversal plans to launch a free streaming service in 2020.

The service will be supported by advertising, though it will also have an ad-free option available for a fee.

NBCUniversal plans to retain rights to certain titles for its new service, suggesting that some movies and shows will no longer be available to its rivals.
