International law firm Hogan Lovells has announced that its first business services centre will be in the same building in Johannesburg as the firm's new South African office. Hogan Lovells combined with law firm Routledge Modise at the beginning of December 2013.

Local law firm, Routledge Modise, has been nominated by the Thomson Reuters Foundation as the only South African firm in the domestic law firm category of the TrustLaw Awards. These awards recognise the best pro bono projects undertaken jointly by lawyers with NGOs or social entrepreneurs.

After a week of intensive judging at the SABC's head office in Auckland Park, Johannesburg, the finalists in The Loerie Awards 2006 have been announced. There are some 18 agencies with over 15 finalists each but the finalist list is dominated by just four - Net#work BBDO, Ogilvy SA, TBWA\Hunt\Lascaris and The Jupiter Drawing Room (South Africa).
