Prior to this, Odongo was one of the pioneer Google interns in Africa in 2011.

He supported projects to get small businesses online in East Africa and helped local YouTube partners in Uganda to improve their channel quality by providing tools and training.

He has a Software Engineering background, and in his free time writes code to solve basic problems and challenges around him.
